Using AI to Improve Your SEO

Using AI to Generate Keywords for SEO

Keywords—the very heart of SEO. If you’re new to this world, let me break it down for you. Keywords are the magical phrases you sprinkle throughout your content to increase your chances of showing up in search results. Think of them as signposts guiding people who are actively searching for what you offer.

Now, there are two main types of keywords we need to discuss:

  1. High-traffic keywords – These are broad and popular, attracting a large number of searches. For example, sports cars.
  2. Long-tail keywords – These are more specific, like high-performance cars with comfortable rear seats. While they have lower search volumes, the people searching for them are further along in their buying journey—making them highly valuable for conversions.

Finding the Right Keywords

There are many online tools designed to generate keywords, and they can be incredibly useful. But guess what? ChatGPT is surprisingly powerful at this too! So, let’s put it to the test.

I’ll demonstrate how to use ChatGPT to generate effective keywords for one of my own projects. Here’s the prompt I’ll use:

“You are an SEO expert with a reputation for ranking websites at the top of search engine results. I want you to help me generate effective keywords that will get my site onto the first page of Google. My site is about {site subject}, and I’m hoping to attract an audience of {target audience}. Please provide a list of the most relevant and high-traffic keywords to optimize my site. Prioritize them based on importance. Additionally, include a list of long-tail keyword suggestions and analyze their competitiveness, recommending the best ones to target for maximum search engine visibility.”

The curly brackets ( { } ) in the prompt are placeholders—this means we can quickly swap out different subjects and audiences without changing the structure of the prompt.

Generating Keywords with ChatGPT

Now, let’s see how ChatGPT performs. I’ll input my own example:

  • Site subject: Virtual keynote speaking
  • Target audience: Event organizers and corporate event planners

Once I submit this, ChatGPT processes the request in about 15 seconds and provides:

  1. 10 high-traffic keywords – e.g., virtual speaker, creativity speaker
  2. 10 long-tail keywords – e.g., virtual speaker for corporate leadership events
  3. Competitiveness analysis – It evaluates each keyword and tells me which ones are moderate or highly competitive and which ones I should focus on.

Expanding the Keyword List

If I need more long-tail keywords, I can simply ask:

“Please generate 50 additional long-tail keywords.”

And within seconds, ChatGPT delivers more niche and targeted suggestions that I might not have considered—covering different angles and variations of my topic.

The Key to Getting the Best Results

A crucial tip: The more context you provide, the better the AI’s response will be. If you wouldn’t give a vague brief to a human SEO expert, don’t expect great results from AI with minimal input. Brief ChatGPT properly—it will make a huge difference.

Also, while AI can generate excellent keyword suggestions, a human SEO professional can take your strategy to the next level. AI gives you speed, but an SEO expert provides strategy and accountability (though they might not respond as quickly as ChatGPT!).

So, let’s dive in and put these keyword-generating skills to work!

Using AI to Generate Search Intent Keywords

When creating keywords, we often start from the perspective of the content we are writing. However, a more effective approach is to reverse this thinking and consider the searcher’s intent. What are they typing into a search box when they are most likely to make a purchase? This method ensures that our content aligns with what the audience is actively searching for.

Understanding Search Intent

Search intent is crucial in SEO, as it helps us segment our audience based on their needs. By analysing their intent, we can tailor our content to match their queries. This process involves identifying different audience segments, their motivations, and the search terms they are likely to use at various stages of their journey.

Using AI for Search Intent Analysis

AI-powered tools like ChatGPT and Gemini can assist in breaking down audiences into smaller groups based on their needs. By structuring our approach with a well-crafted prompt, we can extract valuable insights into audience behaviour.

Here’s an example of an AI prompt designed for this purpose:

“Ignore everything before this message. You are an SEO expert with a reputation for getting websites to the top of search engine rankings. I want you to help me understand the search intent of my audience. My site is about [site subject], and it is aimed at [audience]. First, segment this audience into smaller groups based on their needs. Then, provide a brief description of each segment. Next, identify and describe their likely needs when searching for my services. Finally, list search terms they might use at that moment. Present your response as a table with each of these requests in a column.”

Live Demonstration of AI in Action

Using this prompt, AI can swiftly generate detailed audience segmentation. For example, if we consider an audience of event organisers and corporate professionals looking for a virtual speaker, AI may classify them as:

Audience Segments

  1. Event Organisers – Responsible for planning conferences and corporate events.
  2. Corporate Professionals – HR and marketing managers looking for speakers for internal events.

Likely Search Intent

  1. Event organisers may search for “engaging virtual keynote speakers for conferences.”
  2. Corporate professionals may look for “inspirational virtual speakers for leadership events.”

Expanding the Search Terms

Once we have a foundational understanding of audience intent, we can refine our keyword strategy. AI can generate additional search terms to enhance visibility. For example:

  1. “Interactive virtual speaker for leadership training.”
  2. “Best motivational speaker for remote teams.”
  3. “Top keynote speaker for digital transformation events.”

Further Segmentation

To go even deeper, AI can break down broad audience categories into sub-segments. For instance, within event organisers, we might have:

  1. Conference organisers
  2. Trade show planners
  3. Corporate event coordinators

Each of these groups will have distinct search intent and require tailored keywords.

Why This Approach Works

This AI-driven strategy allows us to:

  1. Align content with searcher intent.
  2. Identify high-converting keywords.
  3. Understand audience motivations.
  4. Improve organic search rankings efficiently.

Using AI for search intent analysis provides an edge in keyword research. While AI tools can generate excellent starting points, combining this with manual research (such as search autocomplete and SEO tools) ensures maximum accuracy. The key is always to step into the customer’s shoes, understand their motivations, and craft content that meets their needs effectively.

Using AI to Create a Content Plan

Attracting the right audience to your digital platform is essential for any business creating web content. While visitors engage with your site, consuming valuable information, there is a strong possibility that they might take action or at least remember your brand when they are ready to make a purchase. This is why creating content that reaches the right people at the right time with the right message is crucial.

Align Your Content Strategy with SEO

A well-structured content plan should be tightly integrated with your SEO strategy. By doing so, you ensure that your content is not only visible on search engines but also attracts the ideal audience. AI can be a powerful tool in this process, helping to generate content ideas based on search intent, keywords, and posting frequency.

Let’s explore how an AI-powered prompt can assist in building an effective content plan.

The AI-Generated Content Plan

Using the following prompt, AI can generate a structured content plan:

Prompt:

You are an SEO expert known for ranking websites at the top of search engine results. I need a one-month content plan based on my {keywords}. The purpose of the content plan is to improve search engine rankings and establish authority. Start from today’s date and suggest content that fits my {posting frequency} and {media mix}.

By providing specific details such as keywords, posting frequency, and preferred media platforms, AI can create a tailored plan. Let’s see this prompt in action with two different examples.

Example 1: Accountancy for Small Businesses

  1. Keywords: Accountancy for Small Businesses
  2. Posting Frequency: 3 times a week
  3. Media Mix: Blog, Instagram, Facebook

AI-Generated Content Plan:

Day Content Type Topic
1 Blog The Importance of Accountancy for Small Businesses
3 Instagram Infographic: Top 5 Accounting Practices
5 Facebook How to Choose the Right Accountant for Your Small Business
8 Blog Common Accounting Mistakes Small Businesses Make
10 Instagram Behind-the-Scenes: A Day in the Life of an Accountant
12 Facebook Understanding Tax Deductions for Small Businesses

This structured plan ensures content is diverse and optimized for SEO while maintaining engagement across platforms.

Example 2: Horse Riding for Kittens (A Fun Hypothetical!)

  1. Keywords: Horse Riding for Kittens
  2. Posting Frequency: 4 times a week
  3. Media Mix: Vlog, LinkedIn, Instagram

AI-Generated Content Plan:

Day Content Type Topic
1 Vlog Introduction to Horse Riding for Kittens
2 LinkedIn The Surprising Benefits of Horse Riding for Kittens
3 Instagram Photo Gallery: Adorable Kittens with Horses
4 Blog Essential Safety Measures for Kitten Horse Riding
6 Vlog Best Horse Breeds for Kittens
8 LinkedIn The Science Behind the Bond Between Kittens and Horses
10 Instagram Carousel: Horse Riding Gear for Kittens

This AI-driven approach effectively assigns topics based on the platform and media type. However, while AI-generated content plans provide a great starting point, they should be refined with human creativity and industry expertise. By combining AI’s data-driven suggestions with personal insights, businesses can develop truly impactful content strategies.

By leveraging AI to structure content around SEO-friendly keywords and audience preferences, businesses can enhance visibility, engagement, and authority—all leading to long-term success. And if you’re planning to start a horse riding school for kittens, you now have a head start on your content strategy. You’re welcome!

Using AI to Analyse High-Ranking Sites

We’ve all felt the frustration of searching for our own page on Google, only to find countless competitors ranking higher and capturing all the clicks. It makes you wonder, What do they have that my site doesn’t? How do I outrank them? The good news is that AI can help uncover the secrets of outperforming your competitors.

With AI-powered tools, you can analyze high-ranking websites to understand their strengths and weaknesses. In this demo, we’ll use Bing’s version of ChatGPT, which has access to live web data. However, you may prefer using a ChatGPT plugin or another AI-powered tool for this task.

Step-by-Step Guide to Analysing High-Ranking Sites

1. Access Bing’s AI Chat

If you’re using Microsoft Edge, activate Bing’s ChatGPT by clicking the speech bubble with the Bing logo in the top right corner. Choose the Precise mode for the most concise and straightforward responses.

2. Use an Effective Prompt

Enter the following prompt:

Find me the top sites that rank highly for the keywords {your_keywords}. Present your response as a list with each entry including the name of the site, the URL, and advice on how I could use SEO tactics to outrank it.

For example, if we use the keyword dog walker in Chicago, the AI will generate a list of top-ranking sites along with their URLs and descriptions.

3. Analyze the Results

The AI will provide a list of top-ranking sites, including:

  1. Website Name: Identifies the high-ranking competitor.
  2. URL: Directs you to their site for further examination.
  3. SEO Insights: Offers advice on what makes their page successful.

For instance, AI may suggest that top-ranking pages optimize content for relevant keywords, build high-quality backlinks, and ensure fast, mobile-friendly experiences.

4. Reverse-Engineer SEO Strategies

Once you have the list of competitors, dig deeper by analyzing:

  1. Keyword Frequency: How often your target keyword appears in their content.
  2. Content Structure: The types of posts, headlines, and media they use.
  3. Technical SEO: Page speed, mobile-friendliness, and structured data usage.
  4. Backlink Profile: Who is linking to them, and can you get similar backlinks?

Implementing SEO Improvements

Based on your findings, refine your website by:

  1. Enhancing On-Page SEO: Optimize content, headings, meta descriptions, and image alt texts.
  2. Improving Site Performance: Ensure fast load times and a mobile-friendly layout.
  3. Building High-Quality Backlinks: Conduct outreach for guest posts and collaborations.
  4. Creating More Engaging Content: Offer unique insights, visuals, or videos that provide more value than your competitors.

With AI-driven competitive analysis, you no longer have to guess why competitors rank higher. Instead, you can systematically study their strategies and implement improvements to leapfrog them in search rankings.

SEO takes time, but with these insights, you’re on the right path to claiming the top spot. Now, there’s no excuse for your site to be stuck at the bottom—start optimising today!

Using AI to Improve Your Target Keywords

Have you ever found yourself frustrated with a webpage that isn’t performing well in search engine rankings? If you’re managing a website, the chances are pretty high that you’ve faced this challenge. You don’t want to start from scratch and completely rebuild your page, but you do want to make strategic improvements to help it reach the right audience. The good news? AI can help with that.

We’ll explore how to use AI-powered tools, such as Bing’s ChatGPT, to analyze your existing content and generate keyword suggestions that can boost your SEO rankings.

Using AI for Keyword Optimisation

For this demonstration, we’ll be using Bing’s AI tool to analyze a live webpage. The goal is to identify the best keyword opportunities that will improve the page’s search engine visibility and attract the right audience.

Step 1: Activating AI Analysis

To begin, we activate Bing’s ChatGPT by clicking on the speech bubble icon in Microsoft Edge. Since we’re looking for AI-generated ideas rather than just factual reporting, we select the Balanced Mode instead of Precise Mode. This ensures that we get a mix of analytical insights and creative suggestions.

Step 2: Using the AI-Powered Prompt

We then enter the following AI prompt:

Analyze my {webpage} and give me 20 keyword suggestions that would help me rank better for a specific {audience}. Present your response as a list of suggested keywords and long-tail keywords, along with a paragraph explaining the reasoning behind each choice. Make sure to analyse my webpage before responding to ensure the suggestions align with my content.

For this example, we analyse a webpage about a book aimed at helping professionals generate better ideas. The target audience includes business leaders and creative professionals who want to enhance their brainstorming and collaboration skills.

Step 3: Reviewing AI’s Keyword Suggestions

The AI-generated response provides a comprehensive list of keyword suggestions, though it may not always return exactly 20 results. In this case, it generated 15 well-reasoned keyword recommendations before cutting off. Each keyword was presented in bold, followed by an explanation of why it’s relevant to the target audience and how it can improve rankings.

For instance, one keyword suggestion was “creative problem-solving techniques”—highlighting its relevance because it aligns with the book’s core message. Another suggestion, “brainstorming methods for teams,” focuses on the collaborative aspect, which is a key theme in the book.

Implementing the Insights

With this valuable list of keywords, the next step is to strategically incorporate them into the webpage’s content. This includes:

  1. Adding keywords naturally into the headings and subheadings.
  2. Optimizing meta descriptions and title tags.
  3. Using keywords in image alt texts and URLs.
  4. Enhancing internal linking with relevant anchor texts.

As demonstrated, AI tools can provide actionable keyword suggestions that enhance SEO without requiring a complete content overhaul. If you’re looking to improve your rankings, it’s worth running this analysis on multiple pages of your website.

By refining your keyword strategy with AI, you can give your webpages the best chance of reaching the right audience and improving their search visibility.

Using AI to Optimise Content for SEO

As a writer, I completely understand the struggle of staring at a blank page. That’s why I’ve got a treat for you—a powerful AI prompt that provides a first draft of your content to work with.

Why Use AI for Content Creation?

Before we proceed, let me make one thing very clear: AI-generated content should never be used without reviewing and refining it. The human touch is what makes content engaging, unique, and valuable. AI can generate a solid first draft, but it’s your expertise and creativity that elevate it.

How This Prompt Works

This prompt allows you to start with a keyword and a list of bullet points outlining your main ideas. Once you’re ready, you can sit back, relax, and let AI do the heavy lifting. The result? A structured, SEO-friendly draft formatted with H1, H2, and P tags—all set for your website or blog.

The AI Prompt

You are an expert SEO content writer, highly experienced in writing copy that performs well for specific keywords. I want you to take {bullet points} and turn them into 500 words of copy that performs well for the keyword {keyword}.

Deliver your response in H1, H2, and P tags. Do your best to include the keyword in headlines and naturally throughout the copy. Make sure the content is conversational and engaging, with a touch of wit.

Putting It to the Test

Let’s imagine a world where Back to the Future has come true, and hover shoes actually exist. Our keyword? Best hover shoes. Here are some bullet points:

  1. Frustration of hover shoes that don’t hover high enough or run out of power quickly.
  2. These batteries last 25% longer.
  3. They hover six millimeters higher.
  4. Pre-book now for $100 off the launch price.

After feeding this into the AI, it generates a solid chunk of copy. While it may not hit exactly 500 words, it does provide a well-structured piece with an engaging tone.

Reviewing and Refining

One key step after AI generated content is checking whether the keyword has been effectively peppered throughout the copy. In our test, the keyword best hover shoes appeared in:

  1. The main headline (H1)
  2. A subheading (H2)
  3. Some parts of the body text

However, it may still require manual adjustments to further optimize it for SEO. For instance, we might want to include the keyword more frequently, especially in headlines and throughout the content naturally.

The Human Touch

As I always say, AI-generated content is just the beginning. You need to review, refine, and tailor it to fit your brand’s unique voice. The AI draft saves time, but your personal touch transforms it into high-quality content.

This method helps you avoid the dreaded blank page syndrome, making it easier to kickstart your writing process. Now, there’s no excuse for staring at a blinking cursor—get writing, optimise your content, and make your SEO shine!

Writing Link-Building Emails with AI

When it comes to measuring the authority of a webpage, one of the primary factors is the number of other pages that link to it. The more references and links it receives, the better it must be, right? That’s why link building has remained a crucial component of SEO strategies for years. But how do you go about getting those valuable links?

I believe it boils down to two key steps:

  1. Create Awesome Content – High-quality, valuable content naturally attracts links. If your content is insightful, helpful, or unique, others will want to reference it.
  2. Outreach to Relevant Websites – To accelerate the process, you need to proactively reach out to websites with a relevant audience and ask them to link to your content.

The Secret to Successful Outreach

The key to increasing your chances of success is crafting a well-written, personalised message. That’s it.

  1. Show that you are familiar with the website you’re approaching.
  2. Express appreciation for their content.
  3. Mention a recent article they published and why you found it valuable.
  4. Build a genuine connection rather than just asking for a link.

However, let’s be honest—it’s time-consuming. And that’s where AI can help. Using AI, you can generate link-building outreach emails quickly and efficiently, without sacrificing personalisation.

AI in Action: Writing a Link-Building Email

Let’s jump into a demo. I’ll show you how to generate a high-quality outreach email using AI.

Step 1: Setting Up the Prompt

I’m using Microsoft Edge’s Bing AI Compose feature. Instead of using chat, I go to the Compose tab and enter the following prompt:

You’re an expert SEO content writer who knows how to persuade other sites to agree to add a link to our site or post our content. I want you to write an email that is personalized to {their site} and {contacting}. Please follow this structure:

  1. Start with a warm and friendly greeting.
  2. Say that you enjoy the writing on their site and mention a recent article and why it was so good.
  3. Supply a link to the article so I can verify it.
  4. Explain that I work for {My site} and that we speak to a similar audience.
  5. Mention my {Relevant content} and why it would be valuable to their audience.
  6. Close with a witty and conversational statement, letting them know that I look forward to hearing from them.

Step 2: Input Variables

For this demo, here are the values I used:

  1. Target Website: TheDrum.com (a leading marketing website)
  2. My Site: DaveBirss.com
  3. Relevant Content: A checklist for writing effective ChatGPT prompts
  4. Tone: Casual (to match my usual style)

Step 3: AI-Generated Email

Here’s what the AI-generated email looks like:

Subject: A Handy Resource for Your Readers

Hi [Name],

I hope this email finds you well and that you’re enjoying the spring sunshine! I’m a big fan of your site, The Drum. Your articles are always insightful and relevant to the marketing world.

I recently read your piece on [Insert Article Title], and I found it incredibly valuable because [Reason Why It Stood Out]. (Here’s the link in case you want to check it out: [Insert Link]).

We’ve recently put together a Checklist for Writing Effective ChatGPT Prompts, and we believe it would be a fantastic resource for your readers. It covers best practices for crafting prompts that generate high-quality content with AI.

Would you be interested in sharing it on The Drum or linking to it from one of your articles? We think it would be a valuable addition to your existing content.

Let me know what you think—I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Best, [Your Name] [Your Contact Information]

P.S. I also loved your recent post on [Another Relevant Topic]. Great insights!

Why This Works

This email works because it:

  1. Starts with a warm, friendly introduction.
  2. Shows genuine appreciation for the recipient’s content.
  3. Personalizes the message with a specific article reference.
  4. Clearly explains the value of the proposed link.
  5. Closes in a conversational, engaging manner.

If I received an email like this, I’d be much more likely to consider it than a generic, impersonal request. It’s nice when people put in the effort to do some research and show genuine interest—without taking it to the extreme of hiding in a bush with binoculars!

Using AI to write outreach emails can save you significant time while still maintaining quality and personalisation. The key is to use AI as a starting point—review and tweak the generated content to ensure it aligns with your voice and audience.

Using AI to Optimise Social Media Profiles

Social media may not be a direct ranking factor for search engines, but it plays a crucial role in brand discovery and driving traffic. Platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok have become powerful discovery tools, often competing with search engines in visibility. That’s why optimising your social media profiles is essential for boosting engagement and attracting extra traffic.

This guide walks you through using AI, specifically Bing’s version of ChatGPT, to streamline the process of writing optimised social media profiles for your brand. Let’s dive in!

Step 1: Activating Bing’s AI in Microsoft Edge

To get started, activate Bing Chat in Microsoft Edge. By switching to ‘Creative Mode,’ you can generate engaging and well-crafted social media bios.

Step 2: Crafting the AI Prompt

To make the process seamless, use a structured prompt. Here’s an example:

You are an SEO expert with a thorough understanding of how to optimize social media profiles to improve search traffic. I want you to write social media profiles for {brand website about page}, incorporating {keyword} into a snappy description with relevant hashtags. Generate profiles for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok, ensuring they adhere to each platform’s character limits.

Step 3: Feeding AI Your Brand Information

For this demonstration, we use an ‘About Me’ page from a sample website, selecting the keyword best virtual keynote speaker. After inputting this information, we hit ‘Enter’ to see the results.

Step 4: Reviewing AI-Generated Profiles

The AI generates tailored social media bios for each platform:

  1. Facebook: Dave Birss is the best virtual keynote speaker for creativity and innovation.
  2. X: Need a boost of creativity and innovation? Hire Dave Birss, the best virtual keynote speaker in the business.
  3. Instagram: Follow Dave Birss, the best virtual keynote speaker for creativity and innovation.
  4. TikTok: Bringing creativity & innovation to your screen—Dave Birss, the best virtual keynote speaker!

Step 5: Refining and Finalising

While AI does an excellent job creating a strong first draft, it’s essential to:

  1. Verify the character limits for each platform.
  2. Ensure brand messaging is consistent.
  3. Edit and tweak for uniqueness and personal touch.

Using AI to optimise social media profiles saves time and effort while ensuring your bios are engaging and keyword-optimised. Remember to review and refine the AI-generated content before publishing to align it with your brand’s voice.

If you found this guide helpful, why not share your AI-optimized bio on TikTok—maybe even with a creative twist? We’d love to see your results!

Using AI to Generate Schema Markup

You know those search engine listings that provide a wealth of information beyond just a link to a website? Well, here’s my own search engine listing as an example. As you can see, it not only provides the link to the landing page but also highlights key pages to visit. These expanded listings are made possible through schema markup, which provides search engines with additional structured information about your content.

Schema markup comes in different types, tailored for various kinds of web pages, including:

  1. Site link schema
  2. Article schema
  3. Book schema
  4. Event schema
  5. How-to schema
  6. Recipe schema
  7. And countless others…

You can select the schema type that best suits your page. However, I understand that working with schema markup may not be the most user-friendly task. That’s why I created this prompt to simplify the process and generate schema markup for you effortlessly.

AI-Powered Schema Generation in Action

Let’s see how it works! I’ll be using Bing’s version of ChatGPT to generate schema markup automatically.

  1. Opening AI in Balanced Mode – To keep things optimized, I’ll set Bing’s ChatGPT to balanced mode.
  2. Using a Simple Prompt – Here’s the shortest and most effective prompt:
Please write me a schema markup for the following {content}.
  3. Testing with a Blog Post – I input a blog post about how I got ChatGPT to write some code for me. Within seconds, it generates structured schema markup.

Understanding the Generated Schema

While schema markup may look like gibberish to some, it follows a structured format. Here’s what the AI-generated schema typically includes:

  1. URL of the page
  2. Image references
  3. Page description
  4. Relevant metadata

Let’s try another example. I used the same prompt for a webpage containing a collection of creative tools I’ve built over the years. Once again, the AI analyzed the page and created an accurate schema markup tailored for it.

Benefits of AI-Generated Schema

Using AI to create schema markup saves time, ensures accuracy, and simplifies the process. While various tools already exist for schema generation, this AI-powered method provides a seamless and alternative route to obtain the necessary code. You can also compare the AI-generated schema with other tools and tweak it to best fit your needs.

So, give it a try and see how AI can streamline your schema markup process.

Using AI to Analyse Website Data

Spreadsheets filled with numbers may not be the most thrilling thing in the world. But what excites me is understanding what these numbers mean. Humans aren’t always the best at spotting patterns in masses of figures, but fortunately, ChatGPT is here to help us out.

In this demo, we’ll take some web data and paste it into a prompt to see if AI can identify patterns and provide recommendations. I’ve got actual data from one of my websites that I’m going to use. You can download your own data from services like Google Analytics or any other platform you use to track your stats. The goal is to see what valuable insights ChatGPT can derive from the data.

The Prompt

Let’s take a look at this prompt:

“You are an expert SEO data analyst who can extract insights from web stats. I’m going to give you {stats}, and I want you to give me some insights. Write everything in markdown to make it easy to follow. Start by giving me a summary paragraph of what the stats mean to you. Next, give me a list of insights you get from the data. Finally, give me some actions you think I should take to improve the performance of the website.”

Running the Analysis

I pasted in some daily views over a couple of months. Initially, it seemed like just a mess of data: dates, pages, and page views per day. Let’s see what insights AI pulls out.

Here’s what it identified:

  1. Fluctuating Daily Pageviews – The data fluctuates, with noticeable dips on weekends.
  2. Weekday vs. Weekend Patterns – The AI identified distinct trends related to weekdays and weekends.
  3. Decreased Page Views on Specific Days – A noticeable drop in traffic on certain days, warranting further investigation.
  4. Surge in Page Views in March – An unexpected rise that could be tied to a campaign, event, or content update.
  5. Consistent Performance in April – Indicating a stable audience engagement.

Recommended Actions

The AI also suggested actions to improve the website’s performance:

  1. Analyze the Successful Pages – Identify what’s driving traffic and replicate those strategies.
  2. Optimize Engaging Content – Use the best-performing content as a template for future posts.
  3. Reduce Bounce Rates – Improve user experience to keep visitors engaged.
  4. Improve Homepage Performance – Make it more appealing and conversion-friendly.

Testing Different Data

To push the AI further, I repeated the experiment with different data, focusing on page performance metrics like unique views, average time on page, entrances, and bounce rate.

Again, the AI delivered:

  1. Popular Pages – Identified the top-performing content.
  2. Engagement Levels – Highlighted where users spent the most time.
  3. High Bounce Rates – Pointed out problem areas needing improvement.
  4. Homepage Performance – Evaluated its effectiveness in driving engagement.

When I wanted to refine the insights, I asked, “How do I improve my homepage performance? Please give examples.” The AI then broke it down further, offering actionable steps like improving CTA placements, enhancing site speed, and optimizing content structure.

This process proves invaluable for website owners. AI takes the tedious task of crunching numbers and transforms it into meaningful insights, allowing you to focus on actionable improvements. Some advice may seem obvious, but we often overlook the basics. Having AI remind us ensures that nothing is neglected.

So, grab your website data, paste it into ChatGPT, and see what insights it reveals. You might be surprised by what you discover!

I hope you’ve gained immense value from it. Now that you’re equipped with the knowledge to make your site more attractive to search engines, I can’t wait to see you ranking on the first page of Google—because that’s where I’ll be hanging out too!

Finally, help spread the word! Share this course with others so more people can benefit from the powerful prompts and techniques we’ve explored.

Thank you for joining me on this learning adventure!
